  • Comedienne Cat Fight - Yes!

Recently, during separate appearances on Howard Stern's SiriusXM program, comediennes Chelsea Handler and Joan Rivers had words for each other . . . some of them unkind.

Comedyworld.com is not sure how or why it was started. But this is what Handler said first:

"Joan Rivers gets up and she's like, I'd like to thank Chelsea Handler for giving me a career in comedy (mock laughing), and congratulations on your stage, Chelsea, because I don't even have a dressing room. And I'm like, f*** off!"

Rivers then appeared in Stern's studio the following morning. During this sparkly interview, she alleged that Handler was having conjegal relations with someone high up in the industry and that's how she got her break.

Rivers then said that Handler was "not a genius". . . oooooohhh snap! She also went on to call Handler a drunk. Rivers then said some other nasty things that we here at comedyworld.com are not comfortable repeating in mixed company.

Both Handler and Rivers are worthy comediennes who put on great shows. But the reality is that sparks are flying amongst these two talented ladies.  So, keep comedyworld.com in your navigation bar to see who says what next!

  • Louis CK Rakes In a Grammy!

Louis C.K. won the grammy for Best Comedy Album for his album "Hilarious"  on Feb. 12.

And no, he didn't have to pick out a gown, or get to stroke his beard as his name was announced, and the camera panned across his contemplative face. And no, there was no opportunity for Tina Fey to pop her head in behind him as the camera panned either!

Nope folks, this was filmed at at a pre-televised ceremony, and CK was not in attendance! Regardless, this award definitely puts another notch on CK's notchy belt!

"Hilarious" is C.K.'s fifth stand-up comedy album, and this was the first time he was nominated.

"Hilarious" was also recorded as a concert film, and was the first stand-up special to show at Sundance Film Festival. Maybe that was what really made Tracy Morgan faint!

CK, who is currently lighting the world on fire, spoke at a press tour recently about one of his big failures in the past, the movie "Pootie Tang".

Clearly, that is long behind him, because before he won this honor, he was reeling from the success of his live performance at the Beacon Theatre this last winter. Go CK go!

In case you can't get enough of this guy, check him out in up-coming episodes of Parks and Rec with Amy Poehler.

What will he do next?! Well, you're definitely on the right site if you want to find out when CK will go on tour again or what shows he might have coming up. Stay tuned!

  • King Louis C.K. Talks Failure

Sometimes when a man is at the top of his game, it’s hard to think of him in terms of his failures.

Standup comedian Louis C.K. is selling out standup comedy shows left and right, has a hit show called “Louie” on FX, and is fresh off the wild success of “Live at the Beacon Theater”, a show he produced himself.

But, layered deep in his past is a belt-wielding ghetto superhero named “Pootie Tang”!

During the Television Critics Association winter press tour this ghost was brought out of the closet.

The movie was a critical failure and C.K. talks about the horror of watching Roger Ebert, one of his childhood heroes, pan the movie.

"...I remember watching Roger Ebert say -- I grew up watching Roger Ebert doing movie criticism, and he said, 'I can't even say this is a bad movie, because it's not even complete. It's incomplete. It's not even a movie.' It was the worst. I think it's probably the worst review he ever gave to a movie," C.K. recounted

The movie was brought up at the press tour as a reporter told CK that famous director John Waters was a fan of the movie, and wanted to see a novelization of it.

"That's really nice. I love John Waters. He's a great filmmaker," C.K. said, before adding, "I wish he praised me for something else."

C.K. went on to say that the movie was a “tragedy” for him. C.K., who directs “Louie” nowadays, said he did a terrible job at directing the movie before he was fired. He talked about producer John Goldwyn screaming at him in his office at Paramount.

Stand up comedy king Louis C.K put a positive spin on the “Pootie Tang” incident though, saying he learned what to do and what not to do, and those lessons are helping him with “Louie”, which plays on FX.

". . .the great thing is that after maybe a week, it just goes away, and all you're left with is the forensic evidence of all the mistakes you made and all of the rocks that you've kind of crashed into, and you're left with this beautiful map of where all the dangers are, and you repair all the holes, and then you're so much better," C.K. ruminated

  • Bill Cosby Vs. Jimmy Fallon!

Bill Cosby is one of the greatest living stand up comics. He is unquestionable in his contribution to stand up comedy, sit coms, and movies - without ever really swearing. Jimmy Fallon is a former Saturday Night Live standout, and current host of the late night talk show - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Recently they met head-to-head, when Cosby, who is getting ready to tour, was a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In what was largely a charming confrontation, Cosby scolded Fallon on several occasions during their interview.

For example, at one point during the interview, Fallon coughed into his jacket. Cosby, who was in the middle of a story about his experience in the Navy, was shocked by this. He stopped and asked Fallon what he was doing. Fallon responded "that's what people do today, they cough in their jacket". Cosby responded, "I don't cough in my jacket!" and he exaggerated a cough in his jacket. Fallon laughed uncontrollably at this.

What can be more irresistible than Fallon's, 30ish, laughing boyishly while Cosby, 70ish, scolds him curmudgeonly? Well, only one thing, actually -you guessed it - Bill Cosby's stand up comedy! Stay tuned into comedyworld.com for more info!

  • Tracy Morgan Goes Back To Work

Stand up comedian Tracy Morgan, who collapsed and was hospitalized a few nights ago while attending an event at the Sundance Film Festival, returned back to his day job on the set of the sit com 30 Rock on Thursday.

There were rumors that Morgan was drunk when he collapsed, according to a report on TMZ.com. His publicist, Lewis Kay, said that Morgan had suffered from exhaustion and altitude sickness at the film festival, which took place in Park City, Utah.

Whatever the cause of his collapse, stand up comedy purists are happy that Morgan is back to work, using his naturual talents as a stand up comedian and comedic actor, and making funny!

Morgan has had a rough ride during the past six months or so. He was at the center of controversy this summer when he launched into an anti gay rant during a stand up comedy routine in Nashville, TN. This rant became public and caused some trouble for the comic superstar. Just recently, 30 Rock responded to the controversy humorously  in one of their episodes.

The episode went over well, especially with gay rights activists. But ratings for 30 Rock, in general, are sagging.

The reason why Morgan - a workaholic comedic performer - was at the Sundance Film Festival in the first place was to promote his new comedy "Predisposed".

If and when he returns to the road, Comedy World will be the first to carry tickets to Tracy Morgan's shows. Stay tuned. . .
